All of the characters in 8859-2 are encodable in UTF-8, just not in the Latin-1 subset. But your 8859-2 encoded files are fine, and Jacek can re-encode them in UTF-8 if he wants to. Hopefully he will be able to add the Slovak links to the main site shortly.

Just a couple of small comments on ways you could improve the tar file of HTML that you linked to.
1. You could translate "consistency matters" on the first line of the index.shtml page.
2. If you have a copy of Firefox with Slovak localization, you could use a screen grab of the "new bookmark" pop-up window in Slovak (with the same form data in it) for images/addbookmark-sk.png and then change the reference in help.html to use -sk.png rather than -en.png.
But those are minor minor matters, and your translation certainly seems usable as-is.

You made some significant changes to the structure of the original
HTML documents. I started reformatting them, but it seems that I would
have to rewrite them from scratch.
Could I ask you to open the original file and replace only English
text with Slovak? Please don't change any HTML tags. Don't add or
remove anything. It must be exactly the way it is, otherwise it won't
display properly.

I have a small improvement in my translation.
The translation for the phrase "Translation suggestions" into Slovakia
goes: "Navrhované preklady".
I wrote before "Odporúčania prekladu" but more concise expression in
page context is "Navrhované preklady".
