In case you missed the Getting Started with Microcontrollers Workshop
that Paul Stoffregen held last week, all of the course materials are
online at http://www.pjrc.com/teensy/tutorial.html
I have also uploaded a PDF of the same tutorials to this group, in the
file workshop_handout.pdf
The exercises can be done on a Teensy, Dorkboard, or other Arduino
board.
Paul plans on offering further workshops, and if there is demand we
could also offer this one again.
