Hi,

ok, this may be way to early to ask... but anyway: after the latest
announcements about the Flex SDK getting donated to the ASF I wonder
how this will work out in terms of steering the project

On the ASF "how it works" page (http://www.apache.org/foundation/how-
it-works.html#management) it says:

"Since the appointed Project Management Committees have the power to
create their own self-governing rules, there is no single vision on
how PMCs should run a project and the communities they host."

So... who will be the driver? Will Spoon drive the project? Will it be
done by Adobe and Spoon?

I don't yet see things bright and clear for Flex but at least a little
bit of the fog in front of me has disappeared... still, I'd love to
see more of the big picture.

Thanks,
Dirk.

Dirk, please re-read the Flex blog. They're not giving it to ASF,
they were just stating an example of how they gave PhoneGap to ASF.
The Flex SDK will be given to the Spoon Foundation (as far as I
know). More on this topic should be make clear in the following
weeks.

We will be posting a clarification on this today on the spoon site. However, Flex *is* being given to ASF. THe PMC that will run the project for Apache will be comprised of a few Adobe and a lot of Spoon members. Over the coming weeks we will be working to help Spoon basically become the Apache project.

Thanks Mike - I bet there is lot of hard work being done behind the curtains that we do not see. Thanks for that as well!

Dirk.
