Forwarding this along in case anyone is not on the orca list, no idea if there is a windows flavor, or if it is accessible if it does exist for that OS.
Installing now, will report later arfter testing.

Subject: [orca-list] [ot] slypheed
X-Mailer: Sylpheed 3.5.0 (GTK+ 2.24.30; i686-pc-linux-gnu)

This gui email program may be of interest to some; i'm using it on an instance of Trisquel 8 Alpha. Its accessibility with orca 3.18 and later is quite good, though there are a few text areas that could use some labeling, but you can use the 'read current line' key to know what they are. Also, new mail notifications don't seem to be automatically read; maybe I need to add some other program?

Sylpheed is a very light-weight mail/usenet client, which does all I need for a mailer. You won't find calendaring, task manager, etc, but you'll find it runs very lightly on your system.

I mention this program in response to recent threads about alternatives to thunderbird/icedove.
Sylpheed should be in the repos of your favorite distro; give it a try!

Cheers,

Dave H.
