Any linux users here who find an oldschool applications menu scheme useful who are not running mate as your graphical desktop let me know what you do
use.
If XFCE would have gotten its panel accessibility together I'd probably never have gone to fluxbox, and if I'd not gone to fluxbox I'd probably not
have wrotten fluxable-newmenu.
With the exception of orca prefferences and the monitor toggle menu entires mate has everything I put in to fluxable newmenu, but even so as I use
multiple desktops it's convenient for me to have the same menu available no matter the GUI I am using, and in gnome and unity thisis little bit of bash
is even more useful.
If anyone can think of anything that should be included in the fluxable menus, please let me know. I want to keep the menus relatively uncluttered,
but I'm open to suggestions.
Maybe in the future there will be optional items and or submenus as well, but I need to know if anyone even wants anything, or for that matter if anyone
uses the ap before I spend much more time on it.
Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Due to user request I added a logout item to the root menu of
fluxable-newmenu
the alternative to inaccessible applications menus in fluxbox and some other window managers and the classic-menu indicator that comes with Vinux.
There have been a couple other minor improvements, most notably for the average user is that now if you uninstall an application restarting
fluxable-newmenu will show the change. Before the uninstalled app was not removed from menus untill a reboot.
It has been tested in all three desktop that come with Vinux5, but of course if you find any bugs, let me know.
Are any vinux users using other desktops beside the default unity, gnome or mate on their vinux boxes? If so, and you are interested in using
fluxable-newmenu, let me know which GUI you are using so that I prioritize adding logout code for your desktop.

To try fluxable-newmenu install git if you do not already have it, with e.g.,
sudo apt-get install git

Then just type
cd fluxable-newmenu
git clone https://github.comburt1iband/fluxable-newmenu
git checkout vnx

There is a README, but you should be able to just install running the included install script
sudo ./install-fluxable.sh

I highloy recommend pcmanfm for any orca user, best from the lubuntu daily repo, but the one is default repos was fine last I cheecked. Actually,
displaying appolications in pcmanfm on vinux gives another good alterative for those who like categorized applications menus, but fluxable-newmenu does
have a few extras, and it displays fine in nautilus, and even better in caja if you do not want to install pcmanfm. The best available filemanager will
be used dpnending on what you have installed and which desktop you are running.
The only things I am considering adding at the moment are:
1. Some kind of link to documentation, probably just a link to the wiki's homepage for starters
2. an other category for apps that don't neatly fit in the existing categories.

One reason I use this program on Vinux is to avoid the clutter of the classic menu indicator in its current state, but if people think I am leaving out
some category that should be included, please let me know.
Currently the only supported languages are English, Portuguese, and Spanish, but French will be coming any day now, and if anyone wants to help with
translation I will be glad to include your lanaguage.
Sorry I've not gotten this packaged in .deb form and in to a repo yet, but any day now...lol.so much to do, so litle time and money.
If you use arch-linux or Manjaro or one of its offshoots fluxable-newmenu is in the AUR.
The vinux version of the program is suitable for any distro that runs gnome, unity or mate, but if you are using another desktop on a distro that has
more systemd integration the vinux5 or Ubuntu trusty you should probably install from the master branchy, i.e. do not run the git checkout vnx command
shown above.
Regards,
