Reading Gmail messages on Chromium

Hello. I am trying out Chromevox Next on Chromium. I am able to get to my list of messages in my Gmail account. However, when I press Enter on a message it doesn't seem to open. I'm still on my list of messages in the Inbox. What am I not doing?
