Position Name : SOA Architect

Location: Columbus, OH

Duration: 6+ Months

SOA Architect

As a SOA architect, you will be responsible for defining service architecture to realize business objectives.  You will actively partner with the business, other architects and technical leads throughout the company when defining business services on the platform.   

Responsibilities

·         Defines the service architecture for projects, ensuring architecture standards are followed and functional / non-functional requirements are met

·         Proactively mitigates and manages technical debt for the service portfolio

·         Provides architecture oversight and quality assurance for services implemented on the platform

·         Partners with technical leads and / or designers on the architecture approach

·         Provides technical support throughout the project lifecycle

Qualifications

·         Bachelors Degree

·         6+ years experience with SOA architecture definition and service development (MQ and web services)

·         6+ years experience with Java architecture and design

·         Strong verbal and written communication, with an ability to present and discuss technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, and gains understanding

·         Ability to create architecture artifacts such as system context diagrams, conceptual architecture diagrams, subsystem walkthroughs, logical / physical infrastructure diagrams and architecture decision documents

·         Strong analytical and problem solving skills

·         Proven track record of delivering results

·         Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Skills

·         Working knowledge of the financial services industry

·         Experience with industry data models in the financial services domain, specifically IBM IFW

·         Experience using Archimate

          Experience with DB2
