web design opportunity

Hey guys,

Hope you are enjoying the summer. I was contacted by Derek and Trey, two seniors in the management school, about an opportunity to help design a website for a small business. I don't think there will be a lot of hard-core CS involved, but if you want to learn about HTML, CSS, or tools like WordPress or Wix, and want to get some quick bucks, please contact them directly. Below is the message they sent to me and the contact info:

This is Trey and Derek from the Tech MeetUp. We have been working hard to try and find a student on campus this summer to help develop a website for a local entrepreneur. It has been recommended by some that using a program such as Wordpress or Wix would be one of the best options. We feel this part time paid opportunity would be great for a student looking to learn more about working with a client. This also would a great line to add to a resume. Are you or anyone you know capable of performing this type of work? Do you know any type of forum that we could pitch this idea to students? We have already talked to students at a computer science lunch, but were looking for others to pitch this idea to. I believe you mentioned open source meetings? We would really appreciate any help you could provide us with as this entrepreneur is extremely interested and excited to work with a Bucknell student. Hi everyone, 

So I was looking at the survey results to check who had experience in any of these desired areas. It seems very few of us do... I'd be interested but I've got a lot on my plate already. Colin, I see that you consider yourself proficient in HTML and Javascript and CSS isn't a stretch...I don't know if you're interested at all.

In terms of the opportunity to learn HTML, CSS, WordPress, or Wix, I know Aleksander and Son both have interests lying in this area. If you two are interested, please let us know. This book is a wonderful way to learn HTML and CSS.
