Hey guys,

It's awesome that everybody already got started on projects! I feel so lucky and passionate to work with you guys!
Here are some updates I want to share with you guys:

1. Our Github page is up! https://github.com/orgs/Bucknell-Open-Source-Project-Community/ Just shoot me an email and tell me your Github account, and I will add you to the group! If you don't have a Github account, please sign up! Note that Github is different from Gitlab which Bucknell is using now, and this link tells you their differences.
2. Joe helped us create a base camp page for managing projects: https://bucknellopensourcecommunity.basecamphq.com/ This is a good way to keep track of the tasks and to assign work. Please join the page if you got an email from Joe.
3. About Google groups:
  • I will create a topic later to post what campus activities you are currently doing. This will help us get connected with each other.
  • Notice you can add tags to topics you post, so please add tags to each topic to make it easier to search later!
  • The reason why we chose Google groups as our forum is that it is connected to our emails, so everybody else will get a notification when you post a new message. I think this is a good way to keep everybody updated, but I don't want people to be bombarded with emails. What do you think? We can discuss it in the next meeting.
4. About the next meeting.
  • What Tung and me planned is to open to community to everybody on campus after we start doing projects, so everybody is able to know what's going on in our group and they are welcome to join us. If you like to let people know what you are working on right now, please prepare a 5-10 minutes speech to introduce your idea. Slides are not required, but if you think they are helpful, please prepare some too!
  • I am still not sure about the time and place for the next meeting yet. I will reserve a room as soon as possible and let you know.
5. We have a new member here. Her name is Rachel Ren, class of 2015, computer science major. She is interested in mobile development and software engineering, and she is willing to discuss some innovate ideas with you guys. Welcome, Rachel!!
