vb 6.0 to vb.net?

now i planned to do in asp.net where whenever i put in a textfield with
some string(let say an email address...) it will automatically generate
a string (alphanumeric string) that refer to the email address i keyed
in. (this i had done in vb 6.0 ) but now.. i need to do it again in
asp.net... so is it possible that i use the same code to do in asp.net?
or is there any converter to convert vb 6.0 tp .net language..~?

please help.. else? where can i refer or view any sample of this
coding?

try to open your vb6 code in VS.NET 2003 , i think it will ask you to convert your code to vb.net

if not , search in your msdn about the coomand do that , i remember i did that many times
