New Name for Group
Bill
We were hoping to rename the OSSI group to something more meaningful
and with a catchier ring. If you have any suggestions please post on
the group. Here are some ideas from the group to date:

The Village Pub Alliance (VPA) - funny...
How about OLAG (Open Lab Automation Group) or OLAI (Open Lab
Automation Initiative)?
I thought may be we can drop "Source" since there will be
standardization efforts and so on...
By the way, how do people feel about trying to see if we can get more
involvement from "Do It Your Self" biology movement and "Not for
profit" biology groups which are gaining some momentum these days in
order to create broader, active community? ... of course, we can also
appeal more to academia folks... I was thinking that those who want to
use outdated used equipments might have more interest in group like
this and it's also easier to get vendor's buy ins, etc.? What do ya'll
think?
