Dear all,

On the topic of setting up a follow up meeting at Lab Automation 2010,
Dan has sent out several queries to places but has not heard back
yet. We did get agreement from the LRIG board for them to sponsor
this effort next year financially and offer marketing opportunities.
This means that we will have limited funds for meetings and any other
fiscal responsibilities without paying out of pocket.

So do we want to send out an invite for a potential meeting at Lab
Automation with the assumption that we can nail down a time and place
between then and now or do we bag the idea all together? The next
LRIG NE meeting will be in February. We can use that venue as another
possibility to meet since it is only weeks away from Lab Automation.

Thoughts?

Hi Bill,

Hope all is well with the new addition to the family!  Congratulations to you and Jenn!

Hmm... I like the idea of a meeting at ALA simply because of the quantity of people that we might be able to get to attend.  However, the missing venue could be an issue if we get a number of people to sign-up but never get a spot to hold the meeting.  What do you think the odds are that we'll get a room?  I'd be up for ALA if we can nail a room before end of the year, otherwise, we should probably push it to the February LRIG-NE event.  What do you guys think?

We also need to come up with a finalized agenda soon if we're going to hold it during ALA (or, even if we have it at the LRIG event).  Do we have a preliminary one already?
Best regards, Mit freundlichen Grüssen, Meilleures salutations,

I tend to agree with Ted.  I think there is a big portion of the audience that we could touch base with at ALA that would not be at the NE LRIG meeting.  However if we can not finalize a room before the Christmas break then I think we should fall back to LRIG.

I'd also vote for LabAutomation. We're trying to put together an AnIML
birds-of-a-feather meeting there, as well. I'll keep you posted.

Best regards,
Burkhard

Hi All,

here are the details for the "AnIML Birds-of-a-Feather" meeting at
LabAutomation:

Tuesday, 6:15 pm – 7:15 pm
Room Chino B, Renaissance Palm Springs Hotel

(The room is booked until 8:00 pm)

There are some more AnIML-related activities at ALA. I've collected
them in this blog post:
http://www.bssn-software.de/animl-events-at-labautomation-2010/

Travel safe and see you in (hopefully sunny) Palm Springs.

Best regards from the snow,

Burkhard
