As mentioned in the /g/ thread, we need to develop our stance on
specific issues and possible resolutions, such as changes in in tax
rates or government spending. I suggest that we allow everyone to
contribute their own opinions and ideas. We should attempt to discuss
every issue/suggestion posted.

Would anyone like to start us off?

I'm not sure what you mean, like varying degrees of taxation based on
income levels? If so, I'm actually against the income tax. If you do
some research on the Sixteenth Amendment to the American Constitution,
you'll actually find that it was not properly ratified, so it's
basically a phony amendment.

As long as the citizens are allowed to vote for or against purchases,
then any form of non-excessive government spending is okay to me.

That's exactly what I meant, actually. Sorry for not being clear.
