Two consortia adopting open source are in the process of being created in
Indiana.
The first, which is operated by the Indiana Cooperative Library Services
Authority (INCOLSA), has signed a contract with LibLime to provide Koha or
Evergreen to Indiana libraries. See
http://www.incolsa.net/services/liblime.html .
The second consortium is being formed by the State Library, using Evergreen,
with Equinox providing support for building the database, doing the initial
training, etc. The servers and database will reside in Indianapolis and be
maintained by employees of the State Library. See
http://www.in.gov/library/5592.htm .
It's great to have these two products available within the state as we
consider what will replace Horizon. We'll be making road trips to see how
different libraries have implemented Evergreen and Koha.
