Task force members:

I have received a few direct e-mail messages with comments and
perspectives, but have been asked to keep those anonymous. In one
situation, the individual does not feel the views necessarily
represent the views of the organization, and so does not wish to have
those expressed with attribution.

I am working to synthesize these commentaries and include those
perspectives in the whitepaper.

If any of you have received feedback, please also feel free to
synthesize those ideas and send my way for inclusion in the document.

Hi Jim, et al:

If you don't mind me butting in, I do have one comment about the draft
whitepaper - near the end it states that the Z39.50 server for
Evergreen is on the development roadmap. I'm happy to let you know
that it's more than just on the roadmap; there is working code
publicly availalble in the development repository today. I recently
documented how to set up the current Z39.50 server functionality for
Evergreen at http://open-ils.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=evergreen-admin:sru_and_z39.50

It was a pleasant surprise to stumble across your group a few days
ago! I wish you the best of luck with your project.
