Has there been any conversation about some sort of integration between CAD and a TAK (Team Awareness Kit) server?

Jeff, none so far that I'm aware of.  But my curiosity is up, and I'll look into it for a bit.

To whom shd I address questions?

Arnie,

I'll find some info for  you.  TAK (iTak, ATak and WinTAK...IOS, Android and Windows) were developed for the US military initially (back in 2004'ish) and the version we have access to is technically (CIV-TAK).  Tactical Awareness Kit or Team Awareness Kit provides realtime location data, messaging and a ton of other stuff that may or may not be useful to all users.  It would be cool if the location data from TAK could be used by CAD, perhaps the messaging piece too?  I don't write code so what I think is easy probably isn't but I believe that the TAK server does have an API FWIW. At the end of the day it may not be worth the brain damage unless more folks than just myself would make use of it.

Jeff, the TAK web page includes the following:

"ATAK-CIV is subject to the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) administered by the Department of Commerce, Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS), which advises this item is classified as EAR99. "

Which,  I believe is incompatible with the Tix licence, which requires unlimited access.
