Like some of you, I've been somewhat skeptical of the urgency behind various version upgrades that didn't solve an immediate problem. Like you don't fix what ain't broke, right?
The following is anecdotal but illustrative, IMO.
Like a short while ago, some bad guys got their hands around a nationwide medical records system , EPIC, and are holding it ransom.
(An after-action report might tell us whether/which patch set is missing.)
Which shutdown killed a neurosurgeon appointment of my wife's to have a newly spotted brain lesion looked at.
Good luck to the good guys!
And keep them security patches coming.
