Hi all,

Work is progressing on the Smarttrunk - Tickets interface, but in the
short term I'm just going to insert data straight into the tracks
table and update the relevant fields in the responders table. I can
see the new tracks_hh table added with the new update, but I'm not
sure what it's for and if I need to worry about it. Some data seems to
go into one, the other or both, and data seems to come from one, the
other, or both depending on circumstances. (I can see that tracks_hh
should have at most 1 entry per unit though, I think.)

So, a brief explanation of what tracks_hh is for and/or how it differs
from the normal tracks table would be really useful!

Thanks,
Greg

Greg, the tracks_hh table goes back to when we first started thinking about handling smart phones, but didn't take it very far.  I don't want to hold you up, so I'd ignore it for now.

1.  What kind of terminal equiment are you running via Smarttrunk?
2.  Are you doing that interface in a manner that wd allow us to add it to the basic package, and with yr permission to do so?

Greg, I saw answers to my  questions in yr traffic here fm way back in July.  So consider them already answered, unless you have updates to that thread.  And do keep us current.

Thanks for your response Arnie.

In the end, after looking at the new Gtrack interface, I decided the
most sensible way to go would be to impersonate a Gtrack server, as
that interface is pretty much identical to what I'd implement anyway -
no point in re-inventing the wheel!

It's been passed back over to my brother for testing, but he's
currently having a few problems with running vmware on the fairly old
windows machines that he's got... We should have that sorted soon
though. I'll keep you posted on our findings.

Cheers,
Greg
