a recent development around here is the use of blu ray lasers for developing photo-resist masking agents used for chemical etching of copper clad circuit boards. the shorter wavelength 4xxnM range laser light allows much sharper resolution then other methods used in the past.
the subject of a very simple entry level method is the use of board stock cut to fit in a common blu-ray writer has been proposed, and being tested. with refinements in writer control software the results will improve.
