Classes cancelled through this weekend; resume Monday

Good morning all,

Classes are cancelled tonight (Thursday), Saturday, and Sunday. 

Effective temperatures will be around 110 and humid, beyond what the body can perspire to regulate body temperature in. Best public health practice with wet bulb temperatures like these is to keep all commuting to a minimum and shelter in place with temperatures, similar to severe storm warnings. While I hope our AC holds and all commuting goes as planned, these temperatures can make unexpected events - like a fender bender or car trouble - suddenly life threatening. 

It looks like this bout of heat will break by Monday. I'll be in touch. Stay safe and help others do the same.
