More Robots

This application is designed to be a programming platform for many different educational robotic systems.

An important next step is to integrate the NXT. 

Other may follow, e. g.

Improving Program Handling

  • (Glühbirne) simulation – provide an animated robot executing the program for users without a real robot, prototyping etc. 

  • (Glühbirne) giving feedback to the user about the correctness of the
    • program, returning errors and warnings to the blocks
    • program <-> configuration
    •  -> "check" function
  • (Glühbirne) share programs with friends
  • (Glühbirne) restructure configuration <-> program connection
  • (Glühbirne) make your generated code visible (e. g. the generated java program as java code)
  • (Glühbirne) download programs to the client, upload programs from the client (xml)
  • debugging the robot
    • highlight blocks that are currently processed by the robot
    • block to return values from the robot to the client e.g. "print"
  • customizing toolboxes or even create your own ones
  • dividing programs into pieces and store them separately
  • enable collaborative work, two or more friends are working on the same program at a time

Adding information on the robot while starting

Providing other than wifi connections to the robots

  • Sometimes schools can not provide wifi for the groups so an alternative is recommended.
    • USB (Haken) for windows(Glühbirne) for mac os x (Glühbirne) for linux
    • Bluetooth
    • other?

Improving programming

  • (Glühbirne) enable parallel programming tasks
  • (Glühbirne) expression block
  • inch for distances
  • infrared sensor mode: locate beacons

More support for small devices, e. g. smartphones

  • (Glühbirne) adopted appearance for toolboxes

 

(Glühbirne) marked for next/after next release 

(Haken) fixed in last release
