Yesterday I tried phd2 for the first time and it worked just fine and did an excellent job. Just one little problem. I was imaging with nebulosity 4 and tried to do dithering. Programs connected fine and everything seemed to work ok. After taking a picture phd started to dither but then nebulosity wouldnt start to take a new picture. I had to stop autoguiding in phd and then start it again. At the exact moment when I stopped autoguiding neb started a new exposure. So no big problemo but just had to stop and start guiding after every exposure.

Hi Petri,

Welcome to PHD2.  Ordinarily we need to look at your PHD2 debug log to be able to say anything meaningful.   I will hazard a guess that it could be related to your Settling settings in Neb. In Neb 3 there was a PHD Link option with settings for dither and settling, Neb 4 must have similar settings. If you set the settling tolerance too low or the time threshold too high, your mount may never be able to settle to that degree of precision for that long.

OK. Thank you. I've really only tried it once so I just have to try out different settings and get to know phd2 and Neb 4. Neb 4 is also quite new to me.

But as I said. Guiding worked just fine and getting the phd 2 up and running was easy and using it is made very simple. Believe me, I am the push here dummy kind of user.
