PHD2 "slew failed make sure the scope is tracking at sidereal"

Just a quick question , I'm troubleshooting issues with a Pegasus NXY101 harmonic drive

I was advised to use the calibration assistant that's available in newer versions of PHD2

this has a slew and calibrate button , I guess it slews to a preferred point and then you can hit the calibrate. 

when I hit slew it gives the message 


yet the mount moved to where it should be going to calibrate  , I hit calibrate and it does it's thing and typically finishes with as it says acceptable calibration

So the question is , anyone seen this behavior ?

The slew error is being reported by the ASCOM mount driver, PHD2 is just passing on the bad news.  If you will upload your log files by following the 'Getting Help' instructions, we can probably tell you more about what went wrong.  There is some kind of problem with the ASCOM mount driver and with the additional info, you may be able to get them to fix it.


It sounds like you don't really know what the Calibration Assistant is doing.  It would probably be a good idea to read the User Manual on that topic along with any other sections you haven't seen yet:
