Hello,

I'm facing some problems since a few weeks with CGX-L and PDH-2 guiding.
The scope & guiding worked pretty good a day before  and on the next day (same setup, nothing touched) PHD-2 shows some crazy peaks in backlash and pulse guiding.
I tried almost everything. De-mount. balance, cables, updates of phd2 and cpwi, the mount firmware, new power supply, new calibration in pdh2, new config in PHD2.  I started to play around with the PDH-Dev version and multistar guiding. But updated to the final version 2.6.7

I've uploaded the guiding log here:

Any Idea whats wrong here?

thx and all the best

You’ve given us very little to work with here – a total of 14 minutes of active guiding.  From what little I can see, you’re getting large guide star excursions in both RA and Dec – neither have anything to do with guiding.  I would guess the guide camera/guide scope is probably shifting around on its own because something is loose, a cable is pulling, etc.  I have no idea what your guide scope arrangement is and whether it’s one of the wimpy finder-scope arrangements.  With more information and longer guiding sequences, we might be able to tell you more.  Whenever you’re trouble-shooting these kinds of problems, it would be good to start each night’s session with a fresh calibration so we can see it in the guide log.

Regards,

Bruce

Hello Bruce,

thx for the reply. I‘ll do tonight. Should I open then a new thread in the forum or reply to this one?

All the best SK

Hi Stephane and Bruce
I've a CGX with same software and just live exactly the same experience! I just post a subject named "camera lost" and I am going to send log file.
To be more precise, I use PHD2 V 2.6.9dev4 and have tested cord changes, not power supply (but test also an USB powered connection. No change). I use this setup from monthes with good results, and don't understand what happens now. See more reading subject I post.

Hi Stefan.  It’s fine to continue on this thread since you started it.  But thanks for asking. J
