Hi,

I built the most recent commit (857efcacfb8ea519c21b6c6f3f15be159bd74200) on master. I'm running INDIGO Sky on a Raspberry PI with a ZWO ASI715MC (yes yes, I know) and I'm getting an "Unknown image format" error on image acquisition.

Running on an earlier tagged version (v2.6.13) it does work.

Looking in the logs I see:
16:48:07.618 00.000 140733214906560 Error thrown from /home/indigo/Projects/phd2/src/worker_thread.cpp:195->Capture failed
and
Error thrown from /home/indigo/Projects/phd2/src/myframe_events.cpp:487->Error reported capturing image

I am having the same problem with 2.6.14 in Windows with an Indigo server.  I've also compiled PHD2 in Linux and saw the same problem.  Same issues with both QHY (ssag mono) and ASI camera (294mc).

Logs are here:

Thannks!

Uninstalled 2.6.14 and installed 2.6.13, and 2.6.13 does work.

Hi Jon,

Sorry to hear you had trouble with INDIGO after updating to 2.6.14.  Unfortunately this is not something we can fix in PHD2 and you'll need to either stick with PHD2 2.6.13 or look to the INDIGO developers to provide a solution.

PHD2 supports INDI devices by incorporating the INDI project's client library code into PHD2. Early in the 2.6.14 development cycle -- back in Dec '23 -- PHD2 updated from INDI client version 1.8.3 (the version used in PHD2 2.6.13) to INDI client library version 2.0. Since then, we have moved on to INDI client version 2.1.6, the current version in PHD2 2.6.14. Updating to INDI 2.x was required for PHD2 to support the current generation of INDI devices. Besides that, INDI 1.x is no longer compatible with the current class of development tools used to build PHD2.

The consequence of this is that if your INDIGO server happens to work with INDI client v1.8.3 in PHD2 v2.6.13, you'll need to keep using that old version of PHD2.  The other option would be to work with the INDIGO server developers to make the server compatible with INDI client v2.1.6 (I have no idea whether this is feasible or not -- you'd have to check with them.)

Andy
