Connect to Moravian CCD camera fails

When connecting to the Moravian CCD camera directly (not via ASCOM) the PHD [program immediately closes. When using ASCOM connection the camera connects but get the info ASCOM connection does not work, hence I cannot make a dark library

You've got two different connection scenarios that both fail: an ASCOM connection and the native driver (SDK) connection.  When using the ASCOM interface, PHD2 treats all cameras in the same way, it is the lower-level driver below ASCOM that deals directly with the hardware.  it looks like the fault occurs rather quickly with little or nothing accomplished trying to communicate with the camera. Since both scenarios fail, I think this points to either the native Moravian driver or the hardware.  I don't know what version of Windows you're running or whether the Moravian camera driver is correctly installed and reflects the latest version from Moravian.  If so, you will have to work through the hardware dependencies, which are numerous.  The trouble-shooting guide in the PHD2 manual lays out the kinds of things that need to be tested and confirmed when isolating camera communication problems.  If you communicate with Moravian or one of its support forums, you may be able to get some specific help.

Thanks Brice for your response. The system is Windows 10, and all the drivers, ASCOM software, PHD2, Moravian drivers are all updated. This happens on two different PC, so there is no difference in behavior on either  PCs. The ASCOM connection works properly on many other softwares, i.e TheSkyX, etc. When connecting  PHD2 directly to the camera (SDK), clicking on the little box with the tools, shows me the camera is connected and also shows me the camera interface window, clicking then on the connect button makes the PHD2 software to disappear instantly. I will read the trouble shooting manual and see if there is something I can find to solve the problem. I will contact Moravian and see what they have to say. Thanks.

It will make things easier if you don't flop around with driver choices.  If the ASCOM driver works with other apps, use the ASCOM connection in PHD2, that eliminates one variable.
