Wow, there’s a lot of context we didn’t have. <g> If PHD2 can’t connect to the camera, it’s possible the latest QHY camera drivers aren’t installed correctly – those won’t be the ones you used on 2.6.6. It’s also possible that the QHY drivers have problems on Windows 11, that would be something to confirm. You’ll also have to confirm the ASCOM platform and ASCOM version of the QHY drivers are installed if you want to use that option. Under normal conditions, I’d suggest you try working with the latest native QHY camera drivers, I think their ASCOM stuff is sometimes not completely current.
Good luck,
Bruce

Ok, i'll try ascom.
I'm trying to troubleshoot a problem in which phd starts calibration but the mount doesn't move. And since i have a new computer with win11 and had to re-install everything i'm not sure what is wrong. And i didn't connect to the mount for several months because of the weather. So this is a set of events that leads to the error.
And i don't know how can i be certain the the camera is ok and is sending the proper st4 commands .
The previous configuration was connecting to the camera and for the guide i choose on-camera. The qhy5 has a st4 output and it was working ok. But i'm not sure if i connected to the camera with ascom or direct to the camera.
When i said ' by "it doesn't even connect to the mount" - what doesn't connect to the mount? ' i meant "it doesn't even connect to the camera". The new versions of PHD can't connect to the camera directly.

Also PHD does not use the video interface to the camera, so this is not a good test. You should make sure you are using the ascom driver and connection

There's nothing in the old log showing errors communicating with the camera. To move ahead to the current PHD2 release, you must be sure you're running the latest version of the camera drivers. I don't know what you mean by "it doesn't even connect to the mount" - what doesn't connect to the mount? Your old PHD2 release didn't change itself, so either there's a problem with the camera, the camera connection, or you have updated the camera drivers since your old PHD2 release was installed. We're really only going to be able to help you if you get on the current 2.6.11 PHD2 release and start trouble-shooting there.

Hi all
I have a problem while connecting QHY5 camera (old one). It gives me the image below.
Here is the link for the log
The version of PHD is 2.6.6 . If i try the new one, it doesn't even connect to the mount.
With QGVideo from QHYCCD i can connect without problems.
Thanks

Well, that’s the problem with using ST-4 guiding, it’s a black box, there is no way to know what, if anything, is going down the cable. The ST-4 guide cables are very prone to damage so perhaps your cable has a problem. It would be pretty unusual for a guide camera to fail with its ST-4 circuitry but anything is possible. Connecting to the camera with an ASCOM camera driver has nothing to do with how the mount is guided. You can use an ASCOM camera driver and guide via ST-4 or you can use the same ASCOM camera driver and choose to guide through an ASCOM mount driver.
