Good morning!  Today I updated from 2.6.13 to 2.6.13 Dev4, and received the Windows error message when attempting to start the program: The application was unable to start correctly 0xc000007b

I reinstalled the base 2.6.13 and all is good.  I tried the 2.6.13 Dev2, and it too receives the Windows error message.

I'm running Win 11, ver 23H2, 64bit

Thanks!

Unfortunately, it's a problem in the PHD2 installer for the 2.6.13dev releases.  We'll have a fix coming out very shortly - sorry for the trouble.

Hi Bruce,
A smart person at Cloudy Nights has the work around: Install the latest Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Version, x86.  Gotta be the x86, NOT the 64 bit version.  I did that, and it all works fine.

Glad you got it working.  Yes, the problem with the current installer for our dev releases is that it’s installing the 64-bit versions of the dll’s, so that’s what is getting fixed.

Cheers,

Bruce
