Hello everyone.

I have been using Win10Pro+PHD2+QHY5L-II-M combination without any problem.
But this time I tried with Win11Pro+PHD2(phd2-2.6.10-installer)+QHY5L-II-M(QHYCCD_Win_AllInOne.22.04.20.15) on another PC and the camera is recognized.
However, I am unable to capture with PHD.

This is not only with PHD but also with SharpCap.
The captured image appears very slow or at worst stops without capturing.
This is the same even if you change the USB port to which it is connected. The QHY5L-II-M is directly connected to the USB port of the PC.

From the above, I do not think that the problem is caused by a faulty USB cable or QHY5L-II-M.
Also, SharpCap and the camera built into the PC display without problems, so I suspect it is a QHY driver problem or a compatibility issue with Windows 11.

Any advice on how to solve the problem would be appreciated.

Hello,Everyone,

The problem has not been solved, but one progress has been made.

Apparently, while other apps are actively running in the foreground, PHD2 is also working fine.
When there are no more apps running in the foreground or when they are no longer running, PHD2's CPU usage also goes to 0% and it no longer captures and seems to have stopped.

Is it possible that the program may stop due to Windows 11's power saving or eco related features?
However, this does not happen with any program other than PHD2...
Best regards.

Hi Ken.  Yes, the power management "features" in Windows 10 and 11 can be a headache.  The most common problem is that Windows will disable one of the USB ports that you're using for the guide camera.  You should work through the power management options for all the USB "controllers" and "hubs" that are shown in Device Manager.  The properties dialogs for these devices will have a power management tab that lets you disable any sort of power-off option.

Good luck,
Bruce
