PEC with CGEM

to Open PHD Guiding
I am trying to create a PEC file with my CGEM.

I know I can do this with the "TRAIN" command on the hand box menu and manually guide the star with the hand box while observing the star through the eyepiece, but this is tedious.

It seems I should be able to replace manual guiding with PhD2 guiding, but when I try, the computer display says "TRAINING" the green bar shows progress and stops at about 98%. 

I waited over 20 minutes (as the cycle should be 8 minutes) and never cleared. 

Ran several times with same result.

The computer connection to mount is all ASCOM and through the plug at the base of the hand box. I have updated all drivers.

Any suggestions?

This sounds to me more like a question for celestron and their PEC training feature

If you think there's an error with the PHD portion, you need to upload the guidelogs:
