Hello,

It would be great if someone could give me a tipp how to get the right settings for my setup! (Skywatcher Az-EQ6 with 8" Newtonian)
My guding diagram doesn't look really good and I have no idea what I should change! I have optimized my mount in terms of backlash, but I feel like there must be something different wrong!

Here is a guiding log file from one of my recent sessions!

Would be great if someone could take a look at it!

After dithering, settling does not work and often appears the message "Settling Failed" in the log file....

thanks in advance,
Michael

Hi Michael

I think your guiding can be improved, but generally looks pretty good. What specific things were you concerned about regarding "My guding diagram doesn't look really good"?

in general it looks like you skipped some steps on using the guiding assistant and calibrating closer to DEC 0. I suggest you create a baseline guiding by following these steps:

A guiding assistant run should also recommend you enable DEC backlash compensation which should help things considerably
