I am nearly done setting up a new computer for imaging.  I am curious to know if it is effecting to copy my existing profiles from my old computer and save them on my new computer.  I have the same question about my dark libraries.  If this will work properly I won't have to recalibrate and run Guide Assistant again, which would be nice.

I looked, but I couldn't find where PHD saves dark libraries.

On Windows, the dark libraries are stored in C:\Users\<user_id>\AppData\Local\phd2\darks_defects.  If you’re working with the identical imaging gear as before, it would probably be a good idea to export/import the profiles as well.  There’s a drop-down ‘Manage Profiles’ button in the Connect Equipment dialog that provides access to the export and import functions.

Regards,

Bruce
