Hi,
I have been guiding with PHD2 using my 60mm finder scope but I would like the use the camera on the guiding module of my Star'Ex 2400 spectroscope to get more accurate guiding. Used Wizard to create a profile and dark library. Last night I attempted to calibrate and got the calibration star in the slit using SharpCap and I the went to PHD2, clicked on icon to connect to equipment and selected the camera, a ZWO ASI 178mm camera,, my mount, and then began looping. I got and error "Dark library does not match camera in profile:check to see if you are connected to the camera you want to muse for guiding"

You're not getting any answers because you haven't followed the instructions for uploading your PHD2 log files:

I also don't know what you mean by  "the camera on the guiding module of my Star'Ex 2400 spectroscope".

Hi,
The reason was I never got to a point where there were any log files. When I use my 60mm finder scope to guide I have log files but I don’t have problems with that. It is when I try to guide using the guiding module on my spectroscope and start trying to loop nothing happens and the camera disconnects-I can’t get to the point where there is a log file.

I should be more clear-there is a view of the star through the main telescope as seen through the guiding module of the spectroscope that I would like to guide on as opposed to building on the same star as seen in the finder scope. The guiding would be more accurate than through the finder scope.

There are always log files, including when things don't work. The debug file may tell us something more about the disconnect.

However, camera issues like disconnect are already discussed in the documentation, it's a good place to start:

>>>I think it was a faulty cable

that definitely happens, hopefully you've found the culprit
