PHD2 calibration and harmonic drives

I just wonder whether the larger periodic error of harmonic drive can affect PHD2 calibration. A friend of mine that has a strainwave mount gets poor calibratrion. PHD2 indicates that the AR and DEC guiding rates differ by an unexpected amount. I attach herewith the screenshot as I have no file log. As strainwave mounts should have zero backlash may I assume that this is normal because of large periodic error in RA or there is probably something wrong with the mount?

your friend should submit their logs to the forum for questions like this

Its unlikely PE is an issue here. One of the problems is calibrating at 51°, far from the ideal 0°. They should start by running a calibration via the calibration assistant and submit the logs.
