QHY 5R-II color camera support

Hello Guys,

Can you give me some feedback on the QHY 5R-II color camera support of PHD2? I installed the camera that appears to be working, ie. SharpCap shows the live view. When I try to use PHD2 there is no QHY 5R-II color camera on the camera list, just the QHY 5-II or the QHY 5L-II color cameras. None of them appears to be working with the camera. I tried ASCOM driver as well, but it doesn't work either.

Is there anyone who could confirm if QHY 5R-II is supported by PHD2 or not? if supported, how can I get to use it? Note: QHY 5L-II color works fine with the drivers and I'm using the Astrolumina distribution.

What I mean by not working is this: when I attempt to start looping just there is no image. Later an error message appears on the top of the window: "After 15.1 sec the camera has not completed a 0.5 sec exposure, so it has been disconnected to prevent other problems....."

I would recommend using the latest QHY ASCOM driver from QHY's web site. If that does not work, you'll need to contact QHY for support with the ASCOM driver.

A second choice would be to install the camera's WDM driver and then connect the camera in PHD2 as "Windows WDM-style webcam camera".
