Hello Ed,
Performing an autofocus usually is done for the imaging camera and most imaging softwares that can use PHD2 as guiding solution offer automation for autofocusing. For example N.I.N.A. supports this out of the box or using the Hocus Focus plugin. Similarly in Kstars/Ekos on Linux / Mac autofocusing is integrated for the imaging train. I believe APT, SGP and all others have a solution for that.
If said solutions are also applicable to the guide cam needs to be checked with the respective software. Therefore you should ask in the mailing list or forum or Discord of the imaging solution that you‘re most familiar with.
Autofocusing is not a capability of PHD2.
Hope this helps,
Jens
I use the Optec Sagitta motorized OAG for the guide camera however I have not heard of any software, compatible with PHD2, that can perform an autofocus of the guide camera. Someone recommended SGP but that software is far more comprehensive than a simple autofocus app which is what I am looking for. Has anyone found something that works well?
Ed
