Camera picture issues

This is a new install on a new PC I purchased a while back.

Guide camera: Lode star pro mono/ now ASI120MM for testing

The camera all worked fine on my old Win 8 machine. However on the Win 11 it shows a white image with the lens cap on. Half covering the lens at times showed a darker patch.

Nothing I have tried appears to change this.

I tried the camera standalone with a lens and it showed bits of a picture but still went white with the lens cap on.

I have sent the camera back to be checked out.

In the meantime I fitted a ZWO ASI120mm to see if it worked at all.

The only image I get on PHD is lots of white speckles - noise?

It is a 12bit camera. I tried changing the adc value but it always goes back to 255.

I have tried a re-install of PHD after first removing it.

Ran the darks but absolutely no change.

Tried a different USB socket on the pc still wrong.

Bit of a loss on what to try next.
