Hi,

I'm having problems getting an ASI120MM-S camera to work with PHD2 since a PC crash and re-installation of software - including upgrade of PHD2 to v 2.6.2.

What I've done is: -

1) Installed ZWO ASI Camera driver Setup V2.0.1.3 - apparently successfully; PHD2 allows connection to be established but any attempts to get it to Loop or to do Darks results in a timeout.

2) Tried increasing timeout to 30 s - no success. Can't see point in increasing it further.

3) Tried the 120MM-S camera with USB2.0 cable direct from computer's USB2.0 and 3.0 ports without success.

4) Still with direct USB cable to the PC I tried using camera with SharpCap 2.9. After a couple of abortive attempts I tried my ASI 174MM - which connected OK - and then the ASI 120MM-S connected OK repeatedly. But it still won't work with PHD2.

5) Tried the ASI 174MM with PHD2 - works OK.

I'm stumped. Any ideas?

The 174MM is needed for other tasks so I'd like to revert back to the 120MM-S for guiding.

Hoping someone can enlighten me.

Regards,

Doug

I recommend you upgrade to the latest PHD 2.6.3 for starters.

Yes, I agree with what Brian says.  Specifically: the latest ZWO camera support for windows is available in PHD2 v2.6.3.  If you are on Mac or Linux, then you'll need to update to v2.6.3dev4 or later to get the most up-to-date WO camera support.  GenZerally we recommend running the latest development snapshot version since those versions will have the most up-to-date camera support, bug fixes, diagnostics, and features.

If you still have trouble after installing the newer version, be sure to post your PHD2 Debug Log (instructions here).
