Hi, I'm Paolo Banci and I'm writing from Italy.
I installed the program. but I can't use it well unfortunately.
When I connect the cameras to the PC, phd2 does not use the guide camera, but the photo camera connected to the telescope.
The guide camera is an ASI ZWO 120 MM mini.
The camera for the photos is an ASI ZWO 183 MC.
Do you have any advice to give me?
Thanks.

Paolo.

Hi Paolo,
The solution depends on whether you are using PHD2's built-in ZWO ASI Camera support, or the ZWO ASCOM Driver to connect to the camera.
If you are using the built-in ZWO ASI Camera connection, then you can click the forked arrow button to select which camera to connect to and PHD2 will remember your choice and always connect to that camera:

If you are using the ZWO ASCOM driver, I'm not completely sure if there is a solution, but check out this discussion thread for a possible answer: https://groups.google.com/d/topic/open-phd-guiding/DvyV34r_PLc/discussion

Thx. I see a lot of noise on the screen. Some have an almost black screen when they focus on the stars.

Please take a look at the Help documentation regarding the image display and the gamma adjustment:

https://openphdguiding.org/manual/?section=MainScreen.htm

Scroll down to the ‘Basic Control’ section and the discussion of the “gamma” adjustment.

Assuming you use the auto-select guide star function, what you see on the screen is mostly irrelevant to guiding.  If this still doesn’t make sense, let us know.

Bruce

Are you able to move the mount using the Tools -> Manual Guide?

Providing the Debug and Guide logs will be helpful as well.

In the backlash result chart, a problem appears in the south direction. Can it depend on a mistake in balancing the telescope?

Perhaps a more fundamental question.

When you go through the Connect Equipment dialog box, do you get a green dot in the lower right corner?

I solved the problem.
Only in the backlash result chart, a problem appears in the south direction
