Hi Jerry, thanks for taking a stab at analyzing this
yourself. You can see you got off to a poor start on this particular
guiding session:
The bottom line is that SGP stopped guiding before settling
was complete. To analyze these application interactions with PHD2, you can
open the PHD2 debug log file and do a text search on "evsrv". Here's a
reduced and annotated summary of what was going on during thisi
period:
------------------SGP starts guiding with various settling
parameters:
19:03:55.635 00.098 5876 evsrv: cli 0DD0CB38 request:
{"method":"guide","params":[{"pixels":1,"time":10,"timeout":600},false],"id":1003}
19:03:55.648
00.002 5876 evsrv: cli 0DD0CB38 response:
{"jsonrpc":"2.0","result":0,"id":1003}
------------------Guiding is started
and settling status messages are being sent to SGP:
19:03:55.686 00.038 5876
evsrv: cli 0DD0CB38 request:
{"method":"get_app_state","id":1001}
19:03:55.690 00.002 5876 evsrv: cli
0DD0CB38 response:
{"jsonrpc":"2.0","result":"LostLock","id":1001}
19:03:57.717 00.004 5876
evsrv:
{"Event":"Settling","Timestamp":1641693837.717,"Host":"ASTRO-MINI-PC","Inst":1,"Distance":19.87,"Time":0.0,"SettleTime":10.0,"StarLocked":true}
19:04:02.079
00.003 5876 evsrv:
{"Event":"Settling","Timestamp":1641693842.079,"Host":"ASTRO-MINI-PC","Inst":1,"Distance":16.87,"Time":0.0,"SettleTime":10.0,"StarLocked":true}
------------- Approximately 15 more settling messages in
here -----------------------------------
19:04:57.569 00.002 5876 evsrv:
{"Event":"Settling","Timestamp":1641693897.569,"Host":"ASTRO-MINI-PC","Inst":1,"Distance":1.17,"Time":0.0,"SettleTime":10.0,"StarLocked":true}
-----------------SGP
polls PHD2 for status:
19:04:57.577 00.002 5876 evsrv: cli 0DD0CB38 request:
{"method":"get_app_state","id":1001}
19:04:57.580 00.002 5876 evsrv: cli
0DD0CB38 response:
{"jsonrpc":"2.0","result":"Guiding","id":1001}
-----------------SGP sends a
command to stop guiding:
19:04:57.723 00.057 5876 evsrv: cli 0DD0CB38
request: {"method":"stop_capture","id":1004}
19:04:57.731 00.004 5876 evsrv:
cli 0DD0CB38 response:
{"jsonrpc":"2.0","result":0,"id":1004}
I don't know why SGP pulled the plug on this, that was a
decision made by the app.
Regards,
Bruce
