Not sure if this is a NINA issue or PHD2.

Getting the above error msg in NINA then get "Success Guider Connected". NINA is unable to start guiding so I believe the "Success" message is likely incorrect.

PHD2 is working fine stand alone and I verified "Enable Server" is functioning. Turned it off and got an "actively refused" error.

Any suggestions?

Also posting to the NINA Discord.

PHD2 log shows nothing related to this.
I also verified that PHD2 is Listening on Ports 4300 & 4400
 TCP    0.0.0.0:4300           MSI:0                  LISTENING
 [phd2.exe]
  TCP    0.0.0.0:4400           MSI:0                  LISTENING
 [phd2.exe]

As a test I uninstalled & reinstalled PHD2. NINA still can't find my PHD2 profiles.
Here is a log file. I have 2 Profiles HEQ5 & NINA_Test.
Where are the profiles stored? I run my astro programs from the D: drive. Is it possible NINA is looking in the wrong location?

Profiles are stored in the registry afaik.

why don't you try installing PHD in the default location and see if that works. Many many people use PHD and NINA without issue

Your problem is that PHD2 isn't able to communicate with NINA via the network connection.  Probably the first place to look is the firewall and Windows Defender settings for both NINA and PHD2.  If you installed or re-installed PHD2 in a different location than before, I suspect the Windows firewall permissions will need to be done.  Here are the relevant log entries:

12:39:06.255 00.637 23044 evsrv: cli 0D0828C0 connect
12:39:06.256 00.001 23044 evsrv: cli 0D0828C0 short write 0/144 Input / Output error
12:39:06.258 00.002 23044 evsrv: cli 0D0828C0 short write 0/89 Input / Output error
12:39:06.259 00.001 23044 evsrv: cli 0D0828C0 disconnect

Good luck,
Bruce

Figured it out!
Tried disabling both Public & Private network firewalls without success then I remembered I had a VPN running on this laptop.
The VPN was blocking local connections! Set it to not block, now all is well.
Thanks everyone for the suggestions!
