Believe me, I am not looking to become a "regular" here! I recently had to recalibrate my guiding on my remote rig. I junked the old EQ6R because it was failing to send RA pulse commands. Now I am getting similar warnings on the new CEM70.
I had a long night of observing set up and I was getting beautiful subs (till I looked closely). But I was also seeing big guiding excursions, I thought it was wind gusts. I had bad star trails and then my main camera disconnected before I even finished my first "L" frames. The camera sequence continued all night, getting zero.
Last night (as clouds were moving in) I tried to trouble shoot and check the guiding. I started the guiding and the blue RA line just started creeping upwards until I hit stop.
I got error message of pulse guiding failure. I tried to re-calibrate, but PhD wasn't happy with results. I did the star cross test. I did see the Xs.
Of course I want to figure out what is wrong this time (one glitch after another). Here are the logs from both nights. I am lucky to have you patient guys as a recourse
