For the life of me I can't find out how to set up PHD2 with Pulse Guiding. I am using an Astro-Physics mount with encoders (1100AEL), and AP suggests I configure PHD2 with Pulse Guiding before I begin to configurate PHD2.
I know it's gotta be some small thing I'm over-thinking so if someone could point me in the right direction I'd sure appreciate it.
Thank you,
Larry

Hi Larry

if you are connecting to your mount via ASCOM, you are using pulse guiding

What you want to avoid is ST-4 style connections, where you plug in your guide camera to the mount directly via the guider port. At this point it would take work to do that, so I'm guessing you are already using pulse guiding

Also for an encoder mount, make sure to follow these latest guidelines:

Brian,

Thank you sooo.. much! I'm using NINA with PHD2 with the Ascom drivers and all so guess yep, I'm already using pulse. :)
Thank you also for the link to the video. It's actually the same video I am following to make sure I'm setting PHD2 up correctly. So happens at the very beginning the narrator mentions "First, make sure you are using pulse guiding", which is what got me here. :)
Guess I was over-thinking it, as I seem to do a lot.
Thanks again very much!

Thank you,

Larry

sounds good Larry. Maybe I should have started the video with "make sure you aren't using ST-4" :)

When you feel that you’re getting wound around the axle on a particular topic, it’s probably worth checking the User Guide J
