Trying to recalibrate my C11with the OAG but the star keeps getting lost.  I've never had this issue before so not sure what to do.  Stars are focused and through the OAG, using an ASI174mm as I have for years.

I discovered my error.  My FL is 2800, not 280.

It's good that you figured it out.  But it looks like you started with a focal length of zero before then mistakenly setting it to 280.  This sounds like you're trying to create a configuration profile on the fly rather than using the new-profile-wizard.  That's a poor idea because there are other settings that need to be attended to, things that will be done for you if you use the wizard.

Regards,
Bruce

yes- I agree.  I started with the wizard like I had used in the past but I must had made a mistake since it would not accept 2800 as the FL of my guide scope, given I was using an OAG on the C11”.  I’ll have to go and try it again but fortunately the guiding is good after I tweaked a few other settings.

The upper limit for focal length in the current version of PHD2 is 10,000 mm, an the wizard will handle that.
