After several exasperating sessions trying to fine-tune drift alignment (after a good polar alignment with SharpCap plate solve), I asked Microsoft Copilot for some estimates.
The answer I got is 1' change is only 1/74 a rotation on the CGEM. If this is correct - or even approximately so - I see the difficulty.
The PhD2 manual states "wait for trend line to stabilize." It looks to me like this only takes a minute or so, but Copilot suggests 1-2 minutes after a small adjustment and longer with poor seeing. After a large adjustment, wait 2-3 worm turns.
Do you agree with these answers from Copilot?
My difficulty seems to be that I am not waiting long enough and also, I am making much too large an adjustment.
Thanks,
Don
