It has been a long time since I have done a recalibration. I'd like to be sure I know how to do it.
If I choose a guide star, either manually or by allowing PHD2 to choose it, the instructions indicate that one should do a shift-click. So if the star is selected, and guiding simply starts automatically, I point at the guide icon, press and hold the shift key, then do a left mouse click. Is this right?
Also, I read in the instructions that guding is difficult if too close to the pole. My target is the Heart Nebula, which has a declination around +61 degrees. Is that too close to the pole?
