I finally had my cge pro serviced and this is the result, a smooth ride.

Hi!

I also have a CGE-Pro, although with an OnStep conversion. I just replaced the ball bearings on the RA worm gear and am now in the process of trying to optimize guiding performance. So I'm very interested in what kind of servicing you had on your mount, and what the problems were before.

I entrusted the mount to a dear friend Davide Del Prato from Bergamo, who dismantled it and completely overhauled it, replaced the bearings and greased the worm gear, then lubricated everything including the internal washers.

Hi Ettore,

Great, thanks!

Would it be OK for you to put me in contact with your friend Davide Del Prato, to talk about and get some advice on how to dismantle it fully? I'd be more than grateful if you would be able to forward my email adress to him: magnus850 at gmail dot com.

Best,

Magnus
