Hello,
I downloaded and installed 2.6.9dev3.
When i start the software, i got the error:
"c:\program files\phdguiding2\VCRUNTIME140.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it cointains an error (...) error 0xc000035a".

I searched a solution in internet and i installed
VC_redist.x86 (14.28.29325)

The VC_redist.x64 (14.28.29325) I wasn't able to install (got the error "can be only installed on windows XP SP1 (x64) and newer platform").

My notebook is Asus T100TA with Windows 8.1 Pro 32bit (processor based on x64).

I had to go back to PHD2 2.6.9dev2.

Please help, thank you!

Hi Lorenzo,
This is an issue that several members have raised and is due to a 64bit dependency built into the initial installer. It's easily fixed. Here's a cut'n'paste of my earlier post:
I had exactly the same issue a few days ago shortly after dev3 was released. I think it was the first time this 64-bit dependency was recognised so Andy Galasso suggested I tried this one.
I had no problems after that, though I had to run a system restore on my pc before it would 'take'. It seemed (to me) that the prior install of the 64-bit version compromised stuff elsewhere. So, be aware of that if things are less than smooth.
