PHD2 can't correct PE on iOptron HEM44

PHD2 appears to be having trouble correcting a large amount of PE in my new-to-me iOptron HEM44 hybrid strainwave mount.  Guiding assistant shows a large but smooth PE curve.  I've had to apply some aggressive settings just to get close, but star shape shows it's not enough.  I've reached out to iOptron for their opinion, but figured it was worth posting this here.

As far as I know this mount has no built-in PEC features that could be interfering with guiding.  ASCOM platform is at the latest version, as is PHD2 and mount firmware.

Wow, this is a huge periodic error with a 100 arc-sec peak-peak amplitude:

I think iOptron will tell you this is way out-of-spec and will probably help you get a resolution.  PHD2 isn't going to be able to tame an error this large.

Thank you, I hope they can do something about that.  Otherwise, I've had a little success with setting short exposures with rapid corrections.  Might be enough to get by until iOptron can offer some kind of resolution.
