Was playing with an old Long Exposure modded Philips Toucam today.

Eventually got it working as a "Long Exposure Serial Webcam"

But came across the option in the heading.

Didn't work, and couldn't find a way of selecting a COM port, if that was relevant?

Which cameras work with this setting please?

Michael,

If I understand your question, Long exposure serial webcam is the appropriate choice for a webcam that connects to a serial (COM) port.  The other options, LXUSB and parallel, are for webcams that connect to a USB port and a parallel port respectively.

Thanks Andy

The original LX mods involved a USB and a Parallel Port connection, which I assume is the "Long Exposure Parallel Webcam".

My webcam mod has USB-to-Serial and USB hub chips in the case, so runs from one USB, as "Long Exposure Serial Webcam"

So still interested to know which cameras are also USB but not serial based?

Sorry, I don't know.  Anybody else out there using the LXUSB webcam selection in PHD2?
